Whatever is good for your soul, do that.

This Thursday I am going to go see the “Big Magic” tour staring Elizabeth Gilbert. She is the best-selling author of many books, including Eat, Pray, Love. I am taking a friend for her birthday.

Liz Gilbert inspired me when I listened to Eat, Pray, Love on audio-book. In the audible version of Eat, Pray, Love  Elizabeth Gilbert reads her own book. I was able to listen to her memoir in her own voice. Her voice became a comfort to me.  It allowed me to connect better with her story.Who else could explain her memoir better than she could? The story is about taking risks. And finding yourself. And finding love. And connecting with what is important. She tells a sad, funny, joyful, spiritual and inspiring story.

Her recent book, Big Magic,  is about creativity, facing fears and how to live our best, creative life. She does not preach and she does not judge. She simply offers suggestions based on her experiences. Again, the audible version is read in her own voice.

If you are similar to me, you go though waves of inspiration. I find myself motivated one day and the next, not so much. Elizabeth Gilbert is like a good friend telling you not to worry. What will be, will be, and as long as you are open and available, what you most desire to present to the world, will eventually happen in good time.

Thank you Elizabeth Gilbert. I cannot wait to hear what you have to say on tour….

“The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
